Environ Engineering contracted Edgeboro International to mobilize necessary manpower and equipment to perform an investigative vacuum gas test on the Milpillas Landfill. US test equipment was shipped to Mexico and a local contractor installed methane gas wells in locations determined by Environ. Technicians assembled the specially designed portable flare and performed a battery of tests and collected well data over a period of three weeks. The data collected was instrumental in determining if the landfill was a viable site for the planned LFG to Energy Plant that was to be built. It was also instrumental in determining the design of the collection system and ultimate size of the power plant.
