Enclosed Methane Flare System, East Brunswick, NJ
Construction of Two 2,000 SCFM John Zink Enclosed Methane Flares and One 1,300 SCFM John Zink Utility Flare was necessary to properly control the methane gas generated from the landfill as well as maintain compliance with Title 5 and GHG regulations. In addition to allow for the proper control, balancing and monitoring of the gas collection system and flares a state of the art PLC control and Lantec monitoring system was developed and integrated into the flare station. Each flare blower has a variable speed drive motor which is controlled by the PLC to allow the landfill technician to maintain a set gas flow or vaccum on the well field and individual flares.
